When setting up and decorating a baby's nursery, parents often times forget to include humidifiers and air purifiers in the room. I can't stress enough, that humidifiers and air purifiers are a must have in the baby's nursery (room).
Humidifiers are beneficial to include in your baby's nursery room because it provides protection against dry air, especially during the winter months when indoor air tends to become dry from using a heater. Dry and harsh air is associated more frequent sore throats, dry sinuses, and stuffy nose. Because babies have tiny airways, they are more susceptible to congestion, infections and sicknesses during the winter months. A humidifier adds the needed moisture to the air to create optimal breathing conditions for your baby. The moisture the humidifier provides in the air, helps to loosen any build-up of mucus in the baby's respiratory airway. Thus, allows your baby to sleep comfortably. The moisture in the air provided by the humidifier helps relieve any irritated and dry skin that your baby might have developed from the dry air. Dry air may also aggravate eczema. By using a humidifier, moisture is added back into the air so that baby's skin remains soft and clear by retaining its natural moistness.
Humidifiers and purifiers provides a soft white noise like sound that is similar to the whooshing sounds your baby heard in the womb to help your baby sleep.
